1st day: Marrakech – Imlil (1700) – Neltner refuge (3200)
Around 7h am you drive for 2 hours to the small village of Imlil. We meet the tour guide and mules, load up and set off for the six hours trek to the small refuge below the summit, the tracks are quite steep and narrow in places. We continue climbing through remote mountains and over several passes before finally arriving at the refuge where we spend the night.
2nd day: Toubkal refuge – Toubkal ascension (4167m) – Imlil – Marrakech
Climbing the highest peak in the Maghreb is done without major difficulties. A rocky path up near the camp in a land slide in a valley and then collected more encumbered with large blocks. The final peak is broad and goes down gradually when approaching to the summit, however high cliffs plunging into the opposite of the Ifni lake. On arriving at the village our driver will wait for us and we will return to Marrakech.
